We use image and video content of the students during class and club related events to promote the club in print, website and on social media. By accepting this, you agree to give us permission and full rights to use images resulting from the photography/video filming, as well as any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the club’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them for printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications.
12. APPROPRIATE GEAR
13. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DISABILITY & LEARNING DIFFICULTY
By agreeing with this, you also declare to understand the regulations of the club and are responsible to comply with such. If you or the person you are signing up have any physical/mental disability, learning difficulty, injury or medical condition, please notify us in compliance with health and safety regulations as this might affect you/them during Taekwondo lessons.
14. PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS POLICY
Student slots are fully reserved only when payment and the required form have been submitted. If payment or forms are missing or partially missing, you may lose your slot in the club if someone else reserves the last available spot.
Please note that due to the logistics of running the club and the nature of the classes, it is not possible to make up or carry over missed sessions. All payments are final.
In the event of wanting to cancel your membership for the term before the term has started, we must receive written notification 14 days in advance of the term’s start date. If notification is not received or not possible before 14 days in advance, we are unable to refund the term’s membership fee.
For grading exams, competitions, and any other events: If you need to cancel your slot, we respectfully request at least 72 hours’ notice. Our policy states that any cancellation made less than 72 hours in advance will not be entitled to a refund. Unfortunately, if you miss your exam, we are unable to offer a catch-up or refund.
For holiday camps: In the event of wanting to cancel your membership for the holiday camp before the camp has started, we must receive written notification 7 days in advance of the camp’s start date. If notification is not received or not possible before 7 days in advance, we are unable to refund the camp’s membership fee.
For uniforms or any other equipment/merchandise purchased from our website: If you need to return your item or exchange it for a different size, you are able to do so within 1 week of receiving your item, provided that the item is unused and undamaged.
If the item has been used or damaged, or if it has been longer than 1 week since receiving it, we may be unable to provide an exchange or refund.
15. INSURANCE
All students, without exception, must be insured under the club’s affiliated insurance in order to attend lessons. The insurance form is usually provided before or after the student’s first lesson or can be requested from the club’s instructor by emailing info@taekwondo.co.uk. The insurance fee is £30 and includes membership fees and insurance coverage for a whole year from the date of signing up the form, and it must be renewed yearly. If a student is not insured or their insurance has expired and they have not renewed it, they will not be allowed to participate in lessons or any club’s activity until they do so, regardless of whether they have paid for their classes, and they will not have access to a refund. It is each student’s responsibility to ensure they are insured at all times while taking lessons in the club, although instructors will always try to remind students when their insurance needs renewal.
In after-school clubs, students do not need insurance through the club, as this is arranged directly through each school.
16. BEHAVIOUR
The club reserves the right to expel any student at any time who does not adhere to the club’s etiquette, rules, or who causes danger or significant distress to the classes, fellow students, teachers, or property within the premises.
