FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What age are the classes suitable for?
We have classes for children and adults all together. Children can join the classes from the age of 6, although we have younger students who have started their training as young as 4 years old by taking private lessons until they reach the minimum age of 6 and can join the groups. There is no maximum age limit.
Can I try before I sign up?
Yes, of course. The first lesson is always free to try it out. Simply get in touch to let us know you’d like to come for a trial lesson. We can’t offer trial lessons for after school clubs in the schools themselves, but everyone is welcome to come to our clubs for a free trial lesson before they sign up for an after school club.
Do I need a good level of fitness to sign up?
Our lessons are tailored to cater for the individual needs of our students. Taekwondo increases ones physical fitness as it is a high cardiovascular activity and improves mental well being. Anyone can join regardless of their fitness level prior to joining.
Do your classes run all year round?
We run classes termly following the school calendar. We take a break for summer, Christmas and half-terms. While classes are on a break we try to run camps, retreats and private lessons for those who wish to continue training.
I have never particpated in martial arts before, would your class be suitable?
Our classes are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Prior experience in Taekwondo or any other martial art is not necessary.
How do I register for your classes?
Find the class you wish to attend under either the TKD X Classes menu or the TKD X After-School Clubs menu, fill out and submit the form on the page. If you still have questions please get in touch via email: info@taekwondox.co.uk
How do the payments work?
Membership payments are made securely through the Taekwondo X website using Stripe. Your first termly payment is collected when you join, and further payments are collected automatically every four months until the membership is cancelled.
We’ll email you before each upcoming payment. You can view your payment details and manage or cancel your next renewal through the Taekwondo X Members Portal or by emailing us directly. Cancellation prevents the next scheduled payment from being collected, and the student’s membership remains active until the end of the term already paid for.
Membership prices and are clearly displayed on the relevant class or package page. The number of scheduled classes may vary between terms, but each payment covers membership for the relevant term, rather than a specific number of individual lessons. The complete academic-year totals are stated on the relevant membership page.
Where a student joins after a term has begun, a reduction may be applied to the first payment. Later renewals will be collected at the full termly price.
