–What is the Assessment Day?
The Assessment Day as part of our grading preparation process. In the past, we conducted assessments during regular class time, which could take one or two lessons to complete. However, this often limited our ability to thoroughly evaluate each student’s progress and could disrupt their training schedule.
By moving to a dedicated Assessment Day, we’re able to gather all students who are preparing for the upcoming exam for a full assessing session. During this time, our instructors, coaches, and masters can properly assess every candidate on their full Taekwondo syllabus. This ensures that each student receives comprehensive feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement.
Key benefits of the Assessment Day include:
- Focused assessment: With no regular class distractions, we can give every student the attention they need to evaluate their progress accurately.
- More effective use of class time: Students will no longer lose valuable training time for assessments. Instead, they can continue focusing on improving their skills during regular classes.
- Detailed feedback: After the assessment, each student will receive a report on the areas they need to work on, helping them prepare for their exam and future training.
Please note that participating in the assessment does not guarantee an invitation to the exam. The goal is to provide constructive feedback, and students who are not yet ready will be advised to continue training for the next term’s assessment.
Registrations for this Pre-grading Assessment will close on Monday 2nd March.
If you miss the deadline or the assessment, you will need to apply again next term.
Thank you for your understanding.
